Լահմաջուն՝ բարակ խմոր, հագեցած համ

Ինչպես պատվիրել և վայելել հայկական հացաբուլկեղենի խանութներում հաճախ հանդիպող բարակ, համեղ հացը:

A flatbread with its own character

Lahmajun, also spelled lahmajoun and in other ways, is typically a thin round of dough topped with a finely spread mixture that can include minced meat, tomato, pepper, and herbs. It belongs to a wider regional family of foods, with Armenian diaspora bakeries developing their own approaches. Thickness, spice level, and topping proportions differ. Calling it a pizza may be a quick comparison, but it does not capture its particular texture.

Order for the occasion

A bakery may sell individual rounds, bundles, or frozen packs. Ask the diameter and how many pieces make a meal for one person. Lemon, herbs, sliced vegetables, or pickles may be served alongside, but these are not universal. Some people fold or roll the bread; others eat it flat. If you prefer a crisp base, eating it soon after baking usually gives a different experience from opening a stacked delivery bundle later.

Reheat without drying it out

Follow the bakery's instructions for chilled or frozen pieces. A hot tray or skillet can help the base, but thin bread can burn quickly. Heat meat-topped bread thoroughly, not just until the edge feels warm. If you need a vegetarian option, ask whether the bakery actually makes one; do not assume a standard topping can simply be removed after preparation. Confirm wheat and other allergens directly.
